Alain Daigle

Alain Daigle is the vice-chairperson of 十博官网在线’s Road Transport Council.

He has been involved with the union for the past 26 years.

Daigle began his union career with Local 224, when he started working as a plastics technician at Leabrook (now Pretium).

Despite having only three months of seniority, Daigle openly criticized the conduct and comments of supervisors toward immigrant workers from other countries.

He was the head of health and safety at the local, and then appointed secretary-treasurer.

Daigle was later elected vice-chair, and, following the local chairperson’s departure, he moved into this position and has served as chairperson of his unit, 700.19.

Since 2003, Daigle became president of 十博官网在线 Local 700, which he helped build. The local began with just two units and now has 39 units and nearly 1,800 members.

In addition to providing union training for 十博官网在线, Daigle is the local representative and a trainer for the Solidarity Fund QFL.
